“2.5 months ago, I had this wild idea to move into my dream neighborhood that’s just 10 mins down the road. Where we lived was great but I have always wanted a bigger yard and a bigger kitchen. I’ve talked about it for 2+ years but Henry have always said no because it’s not within reach financially. It was a Thursday night at 10pm when I got the “OK/MAYBE” from him. So at 11PM, I cranked some numbers and at 11:30pm, I messaged Germaine on IG to call me tomorrow. (Lmao) At 5:30am the following morning, I texted Germaine and my loan gal about possibly selling my current house and buying a new one. Talk about making it happen. We got pre-approved for a loan at 9:30am that same morning (Friday), Germaine and Gerry took us to see the house at 2PM and we made an offer at 5pm. Sadly, that deal didn’t work out. We waited for 6 days to hear back from the seller (even got a verbal agreement on Wednesday) only to get it snatched away from a cash buyer on Thursday. Ironically enough, there was another house on the next street over for sale. So when G&G came by the following Thursday at 5:30pm to tell us the terrible news, we were super upset but at 7:30pm, after they made some calls, we went to see this other house. And SURPRISINGLY, we loved it even more than the first house. And there is less maintenance needed. At 10pm, we submitted the offer and it was accepted the following morning. Seriously, Gerry was calling the seller’s agent and texting her constantly to make sure that we get that deal. That Friday morning when our offer got accepted, our old house listing went live online as well. Within 1 week while we were waiting to hear back from the 1st offer, we cleaned the heck out of our house. The photographer came on Thursday to photograph it and that Friday, it was on the market. Within 5 days, we got multiple offers and accepted one. Within 21 days, we signed closing paperwork for both homes. Everything happened within 1 month: from idea to closing. They said it was #TraSpeed that we were moving at because once I set my mind on something, I will make it happen and make it happen quick! But I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Germaine, Gerry & my amazing loan officer. G&G made it super fun throughout the whole process. We felt so comfortable asking them questions. And they always responded super quick. My husband is an introvert and have a hard time trusting people but he bonded with Gerry QUICK!!!! They are like besties now. We joked alot on our group feed. We started as clients but felt like we gained good friends instead. It’s been 1 month since we moved in. We are still renovating but everyday, I feel like we are living the dream. Every other day, we ride our bike along the greenbelt so the girls can enjoy the fresh air and play at the park. Every Friday night, we biked to dinner and back at our friend’s house. And every weekend, the kids have random playdates with the new neighbors. Thank you for making it happen, guys! Since meeting Germaine and seeing the reel of her running in the rain to get progress images for her client at the new built, I knew she’s a go-getter and felt like she will go above & beyond for me too.
